What to expect at your first appointment

    • We aim to book enough time for a comprehensive new patient exam and clean, however there may be certain situation where you will need to return for treatment and we will incorporate a clean with your treatment appointment.
    • Your Dental Practitioner will review your medical and dental history and complete a thorough assessment of your teeth, previous dental work and soft tissues.
    • We offer in-house digital X-rays and OPG imaging. X-rays are used to detect things like tooth decay, infection, gum disease, impacted teeth, tumours and bone loss.

    • We have intraoral cameras which allow your Dental Partitioner to take pictures of any findings.
    • When appropriate your exam will be followed by an oral hygiene or periodontal maintenance appointment.
    • If you require further treatment your Dental Practitioner will be provided you with a treatment plan and quote. If you are happy to proceed, our friendly front office team will schedule the relevant follow up visit.

Your dental history

Please complete our Release of Records form and Patient History before your appointment.

Your dental history provides us with a review of previous dental experiences and any current dental problems allowing us to provide you with the best treatment option.

We’ll keep you smiling

  • We confirm all scheduled appointments two days prior by SMS or phone call, so please let us know if any of your contact details change.
  • Please try to be on time for your appointment as this helps us stay on time for all our patients.
  • Sometimes things just happen – we understand. If you do happen to miss an appointment or cancel at late notice (less than 24 hours’ notice) a fee may apply.
  • Always let the dentist know your dental history and any health or medical problems.
  • After your appointment, we’ll ask if you’d like us to send you a reminder before your next appointment – regular dental care is very important.
  • In the case of an emergency, during business hours, contact us and we promise to see you as soon as possible. If it’s outside of business hours, click here for information on emergency dental care.
