Responsible increase maintains quality health care without sacrificing member benefits
Contributions for health cover with Health Partners – South Australia’s leading not-for-profit health insurer – will rise by an average of 90 cents for singles and $1.80 for families with Extras cover, and $1.90 for singles and $3.79 for families with Hospital cover effective 1 April.
Any increase represents a reluctant and responsible increase. It follows a year in which Health Partners’ total benefits paid to members increased by 11.5 percent. We continue to pay out 90 cents in every dollar received in contributions, which is better than the industry average.
Responsible and well-considered increases in contributions enable Health Partners to continue to deliver what members want, while maintaining a value-for-money proposition. This also means that members will continue to receive all the benefits they’re used to. Health Partners will not be removing any benefits from covers to reduce the contribution increase.
At Health Partners, private health cover will keep pace with the increasing cost of health services and will protect your choice of cover.
Members will be notified in the coming fortnight of their adjusted contributions and any improvements to their cover.
